Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Location:  Charlottetown, PE
Position: Permanent, Full Time 37.5 hours/week
Salary: $48,000 – $52,000

The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for visitors and callers at MCPEI. The primary responsibility is managing the reception desk—greeting clients and guests, answering calls, and ensuring communications are directed appropriately. This requires a broad understanding of MCPEI’s programs and services, as well as knowledge of Employee roles across the organization. In addition, this position provides accounts payable administrative support to MCPEI’s Corporate Services. The successful candidate will be professional, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision while handling confidential information with discretion. This role reports to the Human Resources Assistant.

Youth Worker 

Location:  Scotchfort, PE
Position: Temporary 4-month Contract, Full Time 37.5 hours/week
Salary: $69,498 – $81,432

The Youth Worker is responsible for providing youth services, outreach and intensive support and direction to children and youth on behalf of the PRIDE Program. The Youth Worker will work from a team and community-based approach to implement case plans that most effectively meet the development needs of youth involved in the PRIDE Program. The Youth Worker will work closely with the community, family members, and others significantly involved, in addition to the youth, and will be able to flexibly adapt available services to the needs of the youth. The Youth Worker will facilitate group work and support child and youth programming. The Youth Worker will work under the supervision of the Supervisor of the PRIDE program in Abegweit First Nation.  The Youth Worker may be required to work on-call on a rotating schedule.

Circle Keeper Case Manager

Location: Charlottetown/Summerside

Position: Temporary Employment (12-month) Possibility of extension, Full Time 37.5 hours/week
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000

Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator of the Indigenous Justice Program (IJP), the Circle
Keeper Case Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Restorative Justice portion of the
program, as well as case management services. This position will be responsible for developing,
organizing and delivering training to criminal justice partners, as well as community stakeholders
and social services, to educate about the use of all types of Restorative Justice Circles. Regular
organization of ongoing development and training opportunities for trained Circle Keepers.


The successful candidate will organize Circles referred to IJP, working closely with trained Circle
Keepers to ensure the timely response, culturally appropriate and safe delivery of the Circle. The
position requires identifying and meeting all those who should be invited and in attendance at the
Circle. This role is designed to facilitate the rehabilitation and cultural healing for Indigenous people
across PEI. The Circle Keeper Case Manager also provides referral services and support as
required. As part of the IJP team, the Circle Keeper Case Manager may assist in coordinating IJP
events, educational forums, as well as attend Court if and when required.
