“Megapaji” To Eat in Abundance

Megapaji” To Eat in Abundance will take place in the community of Lennox Island overlooking the beautiful Malpeque Bay and will feature a delectable menu of locally-sourced food prepared over an open fire.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted by Mi’kmaq artisans who will demonstrate the fine details that go into the creation of traditional baskets made from ash, artwork made from porcupine quills & birch bark, and how to assemble a traditional drum made from smoked ash and moose hides. Then, experience a traditional Smudging ceremony followed by roving food stations where guests will learn about ingredients and their cultural significance. The night will end with a Mi’kmaq storyteller, drumming and dancing. Get ready for a fun-filled celebration of Mi’kmaq culture, art, and culinary delights!
