Join us for a fun day of sport and culture as we begin our road to the 2027 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) – taking place in Calgary, Alberta on Treaty 7 Territory from July 25 to July 31, 2027.

Location: Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre at UPEI – 550 University Ave, Charlottetown, PE
This gathering is open to Indigenous youth living in Epekwitk (PEI). As per the NAIG Council Sport Governing Rules, participants must provide proof of Indigenous ancestry and meet the following age categories:
• born in 2009, 2010, 2011 (age group 1)
• born in 2012, 2013, 2014 (age group 2)
Please note: This is not an official try out for Team PEI and try outs will begin in 2026.
ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY AND INDIGENOUS ANCESTRY
As per the NAIG Council Sport Governing Rules, all athletes competing in the NAIG must be of Canadian and/or American Indigenous ancestry. All participants must provide proof of ancestry. The following items will be accepted as proof of ancestry:
Canada: Status Card, Inuit and Inuvialuit identification, or a Métis Card from one of the provincial bodies recognized by the Métis National Council (the Métis Nation of Ontario, The Manitoba Métis Federation, the Métis Nation – Saskatchewan, the Métis Nation of Alberta, the Métis Nation British Columbia).
United States: Tribal Identification Card or Certificate of Indian Blood.
